The
Original Elvis Tribute 2010: |
| In earlier articles about ’The Original Elvis Tribute 2010’, which will be touring Europe in May, we focused mainly on Duke Bardwell, Michael Jarrett and Robert Washington. Elvis once said about his band: “This is my rhythm section… These guys are the backbone of my whole show”, and in that spirit we would like to tell you a bit more about each of the players on the show. We are very proud of the group of tremendous musicians that we’ve assembled, and we know that the combination of this unique group of individuals will make this show a once-in-a-life time experience, and a worthy tribute to the one and only King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley. |

Chris Casello:
The amazing Chris Casello will be a part of the
band on the May tour. This guy is a true virtuoso on the guitar:
definitely one of the finest rootsrock guitarists around, & widely
respected for his creativity and technical skill. Casello has been
very successful with his own bands The Starlight Drifters and The
Chris Casello Trio, with various critically acclaimed releases and
tours (also Europe). He has also worked with acts like Bo Diddley,
Raul Malo (The Mavericks), Vince Gill, Kid Rock, Br-549, Billy Lee
Riley, Martha Reeves, Sonny Burgess, Trisha Yearwood, etc. To give
you a sample of his unique talent, here’s Chris putting his own
stamp on the ‘Flintstones Theme’:

| Sue Moreno: We are very pleased with the fact that the very talented Sue Moreno will be joining us as singer. Miss Moreno is a very popular singer in her own right, so we are all excited about having her ‘on board’. “Being a great admirer of Elvis Presley's music and inspired by him throughout the years of my own musical career, it is an honor to be part of this unique Elvis show”, she says, “I've always loved to perform Elvis' repertoire - I can really put everything in it - and being able to work with these great musicians makes it extra special”. | M. Gantt Kees Jr. M. Gantt Kees Jr. is one of the hottest drummers on the Nashville scene today. He cites Larry Londin as one of his greatest influences. Gantt has worked with names like Percy Sledge, Mick Fleetwood, Steve Cropper, Billy Burnette, Warren Haynes and Larry Butler. We believe that Gantt’s dynamic drumming will add a lot of vitality to the band, and we look forward to having him “aboard” in May. |
